ABOUT

My name is Brandon Ropell and I am a first year Masters student in Biomedical Engineering at Stony Brook University with a focus on cellular and molecular studies. This is my seventh year here at Stony Brook, I got my Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Engineering May 2016. After my Masters Degree I hope to go to medical school to complete a MD and become a neurosurgeon. For the duration of my graduate career I will be doing research for Dr. Molly Frame's Lab. The first project we are working on involves analyzing the circulatory system of zebrafish with controlled drug delivery. In order to do this my partner and I were responsible for designing the holding chamber to facilitate the drug delivery while keeping the fish alive and positioned in a certain orientation. I look forward to the long road ahead and am very eager to experience the many things this field has to offer.

Outside of the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my girlfriend or my other friends. We enjoy watching Netflix, playing video games or going out. Playing video games and music are my hobbies. Some video games I play include Hearthstone, Overwatch and Guitar Hero. I play the drums, mostly pop punk music and death metal but I listen to all genres of music. I also have a job doing catering at a catering hall that I've had for over seven years now to provide some income and keep me busy when not in school. I am an easy person to talk to and always eager to help out with schoolwork so feel free to check out the classes I'm in and the contact page.
